Current Contest

Monthly Drawings

Our monthly contests have been a HUGE success and we thank all of the participants as profusely as we can.  But we've come to a point where all of the different areas of the site have plenty of content that people have not yet explored.  So we're going to try something a little different.

At the end of each month we will have a drawing for some special HorrorClix prizes: sealed product, hard to find stuff, etc.  The more entries we have each month the more (and/or more expensive) prizes we'll have.  This will allow visitors to contibute whatever they like when the mood strikes them: reviews, scenarios, campaigns, custom pieces, etc.  It's also another way to give back to our donors (who make purchasing the prizes possible).

Entries to the drawing can be earned in a number of ways-

  • Donate to the site -
Every dollar donated to the site in any given month will earn the donor one entry.
Donors on a subscription will receive a number of entries equal to that month's allocation of their total donation.  For example, if you donate at the Rookie level ($18/six months) you will receive 3 entries per month or if you donate at the Veteran level ($50/year) you will receive 5 entries per month (yes, annual subscriptions get you two 'free' months.
We also always need prize/product donations! Got extra figures/cards/etc? What about cool horror-related stuff? Send it in and we'll add it to the prize pool and give you some entries!
  • Submit content to the site -
Every piece of content submitted by a visitor and added to the site will earn its author/submitter a number of entries to that month's drawing.
Reviews will general earn fewer entries than full articles/columns, which will generally earn fewer entries than full-length campaign systems or complex variants.
But it's not only length of the submission, but usefulness as well. If someone were to submit a full setlist of Nightmares in June then that would be an incredible find and would earn more entries than an excellent battle report that has many more words involved.
The number of entries received for a submission to the site will be determined by the It's Wicked Fun staff (aka cabal members) and the submitter will be notified of the number they received when they are notified that their submission has been posted.
  • Link to us -
If you have a website/blog/forum/etc and have posted a link back to ItsWickedFun.net then let us know about it and we'll give you 5 entries to the monthly drawing for each full month the link has been active on your site.
  • Contributing to the forums -
Again, no hard and fast rules here, but whenever an IWF staff (aka cabal member) feels you have been particularly helpful or useful in the forums, they just may throw a contet entry your way.
  • Buy something from us -
Whether it be through our CafePress shop, our eBay auctions, or ordering customs from the site or forums.  Every $5 spent at I.W.F. will net you an entry as well.
  • Find us advertisers -
If you know a business or website that you think could benefit from advertising here at It's Wicked Fun, contact us for our rate sheet.  If your contact ends up purchasing advertising from us, you will receive one entry for every $2 they spend in advertising.
  • Attend Our Events -
All participants in any face-to-face event run by It's Wicked Fun will receive an entry into that month's drawing as well.

A message containing the running total of the number of outstanding entries for the month as well as the prize(s) being offered will be maintained in the Wicked Contests section of our forum.

Each name/number drawn will earn a single line in from that month's prize pool.
Once all the winners for the month have been determined, the winner who had the most entries (not necessarily the most wins) will receive first choice from the pool. Second second, etc.
Yes, a single person may win multiple times within one month.

May Campaign Contest

After HorrorClix: Freakshow releases we will have a loooong stretch without any new HorrorClix product (Nightmares isn't until Halloween).  So we've decided that y'all might want a little help filling those game sessions.  How about Campaign Play?!?

This month's contest is for Campaign systems.  A HorrorClix campaign system is basically a system for developing characters as a result of their actions in a given game.  Think "experience points", but don't limit yourself to that type of system.  Be creative!

There have already been 3 campaign systems submitted to the contest as well.

1) The sky's the limit.  Have fun with it!
2) Rules must be submitted to itswickedfun@gmail.com by 11:59pm PDT on Thursday, May 31, 2007
3) All accepted submissions will receive a line item of their choice from Prize Pool D
4) Feel free to post your possible entries in our scenarios forum to get feedback before submitting for the contest.
5) The winning submission will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool F . Unless...
6) If we receive more than 10 acceptable submissions the First Place winner will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool G , and the Second Place winner will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool F.
7) All standard contest rules apply.

April Scenario Contest

Scenarios are the heart of what makes HorrorClix different from other CMGs on the market.  But WizKids doesn't really supply enough in form of quantity or quality (no offense, Kelly).  With still more than a month until we get new figures, help us keep people interested in this incredible game by providing them with fun and interesting scenarios!

All scenarios currently posted to the site are already considered entries!

1) Submissions must include (at least) all the standard scenario information-
Background-
Objective-
Army Size-
Time Limit-
Map-
Setup-
Special Scenario Rules-

2) Rules must be submitted to itswickedfun@gmail.com by 11:59pm PDT on Monday, April 30, 2007
3) All accepted submissions will receive a line item of their choice from Prize Pool D
4) Feel free to post your possible entries in our scenarios forum to get feedback before submitting for the contest.
5) The winning submission will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool F . Unless...
6) If we receive more than 25 acceptable submissions the First Place winner will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool G , and the Second Place winner will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool F.
7) All standard contest rules apply.

The March contest (running through March 31st) is the "Other HorrorClix Games" contest.

Basically, we want to know how you have fun with your HorrorClix figures OTHER than by following the standard rulebook. Do you have a solitaire system? Have you crossed HorrorClix with a game like Zombies? MunchkinClix? What about HorrorClix Chess? Zombie baseball? Werewolf curling? Whatever it is, we want to know about it!

Not that we're not still having fun playing the "old fashioned" way, but we've got a couple of months until anything NEW comes out, so help us fill the time!

1) Submissions must be a complete rules set, not a scenario, and not just "HorrorClix Basketball: Toss your Skeletal Maiden's in the trash can! lol)
2) Rules must be submitted to itswickedfun@gmail.com by 11:59pm PST on Tuesday, April 3, 2007
3) All accepted submissions will receive a line item of their choice from Prize Pool D
4) Feel free to post your possible entries in our contests forum to get feedback before submitting for the contest.
5) The winning submission will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool F . Unless...
6) If we receive more than 5 submissions the winner will receive a line of their choice from Prize Pool G .
7) All standard contest rules apply.

Alien, Predator, Human Flavor Text Contest Update-
Deadline: 11:59pm PST Sunday March 11th

This forum only contest only has a few entries thus far. Check it out here for a chance to win one of the Alien or Predator figures!

Review Contest Update-
Deadline: 11:59pm PST Friday March 16th

As of tonight we have had a total of 99 reviews including-

25 Monster reviews (75 more needed for Vlad to be rewarded)
3 Power reviews (47 more needed for a special Pool E Prize)
68 Plot Twist reviews (meaning the best one earns a prize from Pool D)
Plus we'll be adding another bonus prize for every 10 reviews we receive!

UPDATED 02/22/07

As of today we have received more than 80 entries for our review contest from more than 3 countries! Not bad for one week. When we first conceived of the contest we had no idea what type of response we would have, but we're certainly pleased.

You've been generous with us, so we're going to return that generosity by adding prize levels! Oh and we've added more stuff to the Prize Pool as well ;-)

Fist Place:
Grand Prize - one item from Pool F (One Winner)
First Prize - one item from Pool E (Two Winners)
Second Prize - one item from Pool D (Four Winners)
Third Prize - one item from Pool C (Four Winners)

Additionally, we'll add one more Winner to the Third Prize level for each 10 reviews we receive over 100!

But that's not all!
If we receive reviews to more than 100 different figures then the best figure review will receive their choice of one item from Prize Pool G
If we receive reviews to more than 50 different powers then the best power review will receive their choice of one item from Prize Pool E
We've already received reviews or almost every Plot Twist in the game, so the best Plot Twist review will receive their choice of one item from Prize Pool D
