Donations - It's Wicked Fun!

It's Wicked Fun is run by a dedicated gaming group who all work day jobs (or attend school full time).
However, web hosting and bandwidth isn't free.
We also send out a couple hundred dollars worth of prizes each month. All of which is purchased by our members, much of it specifically as prizes for the website contests.

All we ask for in return is your usage and appreciation of the site. However, if you'd like to help out with the expenses we'd appreciate that as well and this page was created to make that a little bit easier.

Donor FAQ

What do I receive in return for my donation?

The knowledge that you're helping the largest HorrorClix site on the internet become even larger.
And, we'll turn off the banner and inline ads on the HorrorClix forums. Inline ads are the ones that appear as posts in the middle of threads.

You also receive access to the IWF Angels forum where only Donors may post or read.

Why don't you offer more in return for a donation?

Because we designed this site to be free for all and have no desire to set any of our visitors up as a "better class" of netizen.
We believe that a donation is just that - something given without expectation of a return.
Donors allow us to turn off ads as they're generating direct revenue for the site. In fact, if we received enough subscriptions we'd be able to get rid of the ads altogether ;-)

How long does it take for my Donor status to kick in?

That depends on how busy we are on other web projects. Typically 2-7 days.

How long do I receive credit for my donation?

One time donations last until January 1st of the year following the donation with a grace period in the last two weeks of December (which carry over to the next January).

Subscriptions last as long as the subscription is valid. Yes, as soon as I notice that you have cancelled your subscription, your donor status is either ended (regardless of how long you have left in your subscription) or you're converted to "one time donation" status and will expire at the first of the year. Which depends on how we feel at the time ;)
