Todd believed he could outrun the zombie - until it drew its firearm and began firing wildly in the cramped hallway.  Riddled with bullets, Todd fell heavily to the floor, unable to do anything but writhe in pain.  As his lifeblood pumped out onto the dirty concrete, he could do nothing but watch with horror as his partner shuffled closer and closer, all the while drooling strands of pus-colored saliva on the front of his torn shirt.
