The doctor began to grow delirious, the venom from the serpent's bite now coursing through her veins.  At first Marsha thought that one of the villagers had found her and was wrapping some kind of bandage around her wounded arm.  But when her vision cleared enough for her to look down, she realized that it wasn't a bandage - it was a thick black snake that had mouthed her arm all the way to the elbow!  She wriggled her fingers inside the thing - and screamed!
