I thought being in a public place would save me, but I couldn't have been more wrong.  For two days, the creature stalked me through New York City, forcing me from one hiding spot to the next.  But in Manhattan, in the middle of a dance club crowded with hundreds of witnesses, the vampire simply hacked his way through the crowd to get to me.  The enforcer had my scent: there was nowhere in the world I could hide.
