Review by Nate “RedNinja” Gleason-
Playability: 6/10 - This figure disappoints me more than any other in the game. While she has a great mix of stats and abilities, the figure is bothered by one blinding flaw - she's useless if she's targeted by Paranoia, the only really great Plot Twist to prevent rescues in the Base Set. Jack-of-all-trades they are, Guardians just don't have a lot of potential to frenzy at the time of this review. That could have been changed by this figure…but it's vulnerability to a single Plot-Twist makes it almost unplayable, and I guarantee that anyone who's played against it (or even seen it's dial) knows it. Now, this might not have been so bad if we'd seen a decent Damage Value on this click to compliment her ranged attacks…but unfortunately, it remains a 1.
This girl has a lot of potential…but if you're going to play her, you should just find an extra 5 points to use her vastly superior Veteran form instead.
Sculpt: 4/10 - The Vampire Hunter REV cycle has a rather uninspired sculpt. While I will admit (as a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan) that I like the crossbow and the painting of their denim jeans, everything else about it is dull. The blade she carries could've been more clearly defined, I can't even make out what it is. And while the hair doesn't look to bad, the painting on the face could've been better.
But what bothers me most is the torso - I've always felt that the white shirt gives the figure a plain and dull look while making the breasts seem disproportioned.. Someday I plan to paint over this glaring flaw on my own copy, but at least the entire figure, as a cohesive whole, can tide me until then.
