His home was a grisly site.  It was tucked deep in that dark part of the forest where the gnarled trees grew twisted and hung heavy with moss.  A vile smell hung over the whole area;  pillars of black flies swarmed above festering mounds of rotting flesh.  The Hook had cleared the woods around his cabin in a near-perfect circle - and on each and every tree he had nailed, palm facing the forest, a severed human hand.
