Review: by Nate “RedNinja” Gleason-

Playability: 1/10 - WORST. PIECE. EVER.

This piece is simply unplayable. It's one of those pieces that you play simply for the novelty of playing the worst piece in the game. While the piece champions powerful stats, abilities, and intangibility, the presence of hourglasses in it's starting form is what dooms this figure from the start. By the time this figure reaches the fray, he'll likely be on his last click of health and be very easily killed before he can transform. If he's lucky, he'll be able to strike against a Minion or take advantage of a game effect or Plot Twist…but any player worth their salt won't be phased by such ticks.

Simply put, if your in it to win it, don't play this figure. It's fun for a casual game, but worthless otherwise.

Sculpt: 8.5/10 - This is a fairly artful sculpt, if not a bit uninspired. The creature is seen creeping out of his sarcophagus on the warpath, looking for a victim to kill. The detail on both the monster and his coffin are impressive.

Ultimately, this is more of a piece of art then it is a play worthy piece. This belongs on a shelf as a decorative nick-nack, not on the battlefield.

Review: by Andrew “Templar147” Koeling

Sculpt: 8/10 The Tomb Mummy definitely has a nice looking sculpt with a lot of attention to the detail of both his bandages and his sarcophagus. This was the first unique I ever pulled, and I was quite pleased to note that there seems to be a little extra touch applied to the uniques. The only thing that really detracts from the model is the empty dark space for the inside of his coffin, but for all intensive purposes, the tomb mummy is a very nice looking figure.

Playability: 4/10 Okay, so you have a figure that has above average attack values, a great set of powers, and the ability to flip back and forth almost indefinitely. However, his ability to be effective is offset by his starting hourglass phases combined with his low speed. What does this all mean? Well, by time he gets into close combat with an enemy, he will more than likely be on his last click. With a defensive score of 15 at that point, he is average to slightly below average, where anyone with an attack value of 8 will have a 50/50 chance of killing him as his invulnerability doesn’t kick in until he kills a monster. In the case you DO get him to flip, the mummy is a monster on the field with extremely high attack values, defense, and entangle, meaning that if they get into base to base with him, they are more than likely toast.

Overall, the Tomb Mummy is more of a casual play piece because there is no guarantee that you will ever see that wonderful side of his card where he truly becomes useful. Instead, you have to be prepared to pay 80 points for a figure with 1 click of health left when he engages an enemy and hope that he can make a kill.
