Webs as thick as my arm closed off some of the doors: translucent egg sacks filled with trembling puppy-sized arachnids were piled next to the air intake vents.  At the end of the hall, a pair of web-cocoons slowly twisted in the air-conditioned breeze.  From the looks of them, the two security guards had been mummified and drained almost a month beforehand.  Checking the fuel level on the makeshift flamethrower, Corporal Wrigley moved further into the basement, knowing that she was only a few more rooms away.
