SIDE B

David crossed his fingers and initialized the ’bot. If Pandora
didn’t like the publicity when Carnage crushed everything in
its path on Bot Battle, at least he had the potential military
applications to fall back on. David glanced over at the target
drone, then thumbed Target Acquisition and Weapons Systems
to green. Giving the ’bot the go-code and seeing it roll forward
toward him, David realized too late that the target it had
acquired wasn’t robot at all . . .

Notes: "I noticed something awhile back, the Carnage-Bot is actually made up of pieces of MechWarrior Mechs.
His torso is actually taken from a Violator, turned around and minus the face: here
His "legs" are an AgroMech's tiller wheel thingy: here
I think all the rest of him is new, such as his arms and the little gas tank thing on his back, but he is in part MechWarrior scrap."

The Lab gives us a nice treat in the Carnage-Bots: Dual-targeting! The
Rookie Carnage-Bot opens with a sole click of Blooded, to allow for some
quick early damage, but the real treat is the ability to swing at two
different monsters at once, with a relatively good attack value to boot. The
lower defense could be harmful, but it should still be able to get some hits
in before your opponent sends it to the big scrapyard in the sky. |
Review: by Nate “RedNinja” Gleason-
Playability: 6/10 - The first entry into this REV is pretty unimpressive. Little ability to deal damage meet slightly above average stats and an almost useless ability (to this particular figure) make this a tough pill to swallow.
Sculpt: 9/10 - This is a really cool sculpt. Everything your mother told you about sharp objects applies to this monster - you could probably be killed walking into this thing.
If you want to intimidate your opponent with something that looks outright dangerous, this is food for thought. |
