The guardian fell back against the wall, exhausted, trying to catch her breath. Still holding on to her bloody sword, Maeve looked at the dead werewolves and warriors scattered through the hall. "It's finally over," she whispered. But as she shifted her weight to stand, a sharp pain shot up from her thigh. Looking down she saw that between the shredded plates of her leg armor was the unmistakable mark of a wolf bite. Slumping down to sit on the floor, Maeve suddenly knew it wasn't the end at all, but really only the beginning.... |

Review: by Nate "RedNinja" Gleason 7/10 - As far as the Base Set's subplots go, "Last Monster Standing" is a rather nice subplot to pack away. Since most games end when only person has monsters left, this one will rarely fail to go off. Granting a rather large amount of points, it can be a real game breaker, and even let you disregard a few victims when it comes to the game's score. This is one of the more solid and consistent Base Set Plot Twists, and definitely worth a try. |
