The victim stabs the monster with a paralyzing hypodermic.

When a Victim is about to be slain, if you roll a 5 or 6 they still slay the Victim, BUT they instantly get 2 action tokens. This makes the monster that kills the victim useless the next turn. A definitely useful PT, but make sure you are rolling well as you only have a 33% chance of getting a 5 or 6, which is on the low side. The needle in the art work is just sitting there though! Why not have the needle being inserted into an unwilling patient?

3/10 - I was pleasantly surprised to see a card from The Lab do something unique while requiring a 33% chance die roll, but this card still doesn't cut it. While it does have potential to make a monster useless on it's opponent's next turn…it's already going to have an action token from moving to slay the victim. With a myriad of abilities that add action tokens to monsters such as Venom, Torture, and Immobilize, we can get the same effect from monsters like Veteran Grey or Rookie Nosferatu. On top of this, it doesn't even prevent the slaying, deal damage, etc.
We're making progress, but we're still not seeing any major potential in a card that requires a 33% chance die roll. I don't even see myself giving this card a…shot! (Get it?!…why aren't you laughing? Come on, that was funny!)
