Review: by Matt Pittman (mpittman) The plan:surround one of your opponents monsters with Victims, then we they slay one...BAM! They take damage equal to the number of Victims around them. Only available in Inquest Gamer #143, Ambush! is a nifty little PT and probably one of the best in my opinion. Use it when there are still many Victims for maximum damage on a werewolf that needs to transform and if he has enough victims around him he might even be KOed instantly! Awesome art work on the picture too. Gotta love the woman with a big meat cleaver. |

| Review: by Nate "RedNinja" Gleason 9/10 - I remember the first time I used this Plot Twist. I played it against a Chainsaw to deal 4 points of damage. Then I used Possession on the Chainsaw with an Experienced Asylum Spirit, forcing it to deal 3 damage to a Veteran Vat-Grown Clone and bringing it to it's dial of hourglasses on the opponents next turn. While "Ambush!" doesn't always guarantee this level of success, it can do some nasty things to any monster without Stamina or Invulnerable. What's more - once your opponent knows you have it, they'll probably stay away from large groups of victims in future games, letting you enjoy them to yourself. This is definitely a card worth having. But as it was only available as a promo in Inquest magazine's 143rd issue, you may have a tough time tracking it down. |
