Background-
Within a recently discovered pyramid, the Alien Queen threatens to break
free, bringing with her Alien hordes that threaten every good monster’s
food supply. Realizing the threat, a group of monsters decides to take her
on before she can get free. Unfortunately, her eggs have already hatched,
giving the monsters something else to worry about.
Objective-
The monster horde must stop the Alien Queen from breaking free! If
the Alien Queen dial or Chained Queen dial is killed, or if the Alien
Queen is still inserted into the Egg Base at the end of the game, the
monster horde wins. If the Alien Queen is freed before the end of
the game, the Aliens win.
Army Size-
Two-player game; 600-point armies; six actions per turn. One player
must have an Alien Queen and Egg Base in his or her army, and
represents the Aliens. The other player represents the monster horde.
Before the game begins, decide which player will play the monster
horde and which player will play the Aliens.
Time Limit-
60 minutes
Map-
Alien Queen Containment Chamber (AVP: Alien Queen Action Pack)
Setup-
After victims have been placed, place six Alien Drone minions
adjacent to the Egg Base. Alien Egg minions can’t be placed.
Special Scenario Rules-
1. Go for the Head: When an opposing monster successfully
attacks the Chained Queen dial, it may choose to deal damage
to the Alien Queen dial instead. The Alien Queen’s powers are
ignored for the attack.
2. Support Your Local Queen: Friendly monsters can’t attack the
Harness dial until the Xenogenesis power is showing on the
Egg Sac dial.
3. Aliens Save the Queen!: Alien Drone minion tokens are
blooded.
4. They Just Keep Coming!: If an Alien Drone minion is killed,
the slayer is not blooded. Instead, remove the Alien Drone
minion from the map. The slayer still gains victory points
for the minion. At the beginning of the Aliens player’s turn,
if there are fewer than six Alien Drone minions in play, he or
she may place an Alien Drone minion from outside the game
adjacent to the Egg Base. |
