![]() Lab Plot Twist Reviews What, you are still using those Plot Twists from the original Horrorclix set? While everybody loves "Fire Axe" and "Hair Spray Blowtorch" (my personal favorite is "Beg For Mercy"), you really gotta pay attention to the new PT's. I don't yet have a full set of Lab cards, but here are a few of the neat Plot Twists you should add to your standard crypt; Regression, #005: This card is great for making up a few of the points you just lost when your opponent's Rookie Jester took out your Major Harper with a lucky shot (Rolling a crit with a 6 Slash will do that). He gets the 130 points, but you can at least grab that Victim for 15 points. Very useful in a high point game. A 500 point game brings Victims worth 25 points. You can lose a 20 point Rookie Dire Wolf, change it to a Victim. If you can get the victim, you will have gained 5 points on your opponent. Temporal Disruptor, #008: Or, if you wish, you can use this against that Rookie Jester, making him reroll his critical Slash. The great thing about this card is that you get to wait until the damage is calculated. You do not need to play it between the attack and the damage portions of the action. Subtracting 2 from the reroll is a particularly nasty addition to the card's effect. Matrix of R'lyeh, #009: Of course, if you wanted to combine cards, you could play this one. When that nasty Sunny (Jester) targets your Major, switch out your Major Harper with your Rookie Dire Wolf (here, puppy!). If the Jester kills the wolf, then throw down Regression (above), and try to get the new victim, and the 5 point advantage. Just 3 of the wonderful Plot Twists available in The Lab. Of course, I won't go into the really sweet "Tire Iron". Clay Dugger |
