Capture The Corpse Background- Objective- Army Size- Time Limit- Map- Setup- The only plot twist that is banned in this game it the Matrix of R’leigh. In this form of play it is way to broken, as you can simply keep one of your monsters in the back corner of your starting area and wait for your monster with the corpse to get attacked and quickly transport him back and win the game. Special Scenario Rules- The objective of the game is to capture the corpse of course and this is how you do so. To capture the corpse you simple have to “slay it”. This is treated as a normal slaying attempt with victims and if successful, you either place the corpse token on the monster’s card, or if using an ID ring attach it to the monster. When a monster has the corpse it looses all movement abilities such as leap/climb, ghost ECT… To win the game you need to carry the corpse all the way back to the farthest corner of your starting area. You must land in this corner with your monster carrying the corpse to win. If you have a monster you control already in the far corner you must move it before you can land there. If it’s an opponent’s monster then you have to kill it first to land there. Remember that you have to make it all the way to the back corner of your starting area with the corpse, not just any part of your starting area. In this way you can set up a block on an opponent, or get delayed due to another one of your monsters dying and taking up the space. If your monster is killed while it has the corpse, the corpse drops to the ground where the monster previously was and can be picked up by any monster again just like before. There are no keeping track of points in this game; the only way to win is to get the corpse back to your starting area. Victims are there simply to blood your monsters and to get in your way. When you kill a victim in this game, or transform a monster, the effect stays on your monster when it dies. For example if you had a proto cyborg with a spree of 2 form killing 2 victims, he would keep his victims and keep his spree when he dies. The same is true for any werewolf that transforms. If it transforms, when it dies and re-spawns it starts on the red line instead of the green. Remember that the corpse is considered a victim for slaying/rescuing purposes and is also considered both male and female, so any anti-slaying/rescuing plot twists can be used to stop someone from capturing the corpse!
