Nonsensical Background Story:
College students from State U. exercising their constitutional right to air their grievance against the oppressive and totally corrupt government found themselves at the wrong end of “peaceful” crowd control. After several hours of “pacification”, a group of students fled into the city’s graveyard seeking refuge. Policemen bent on “disciplining” the students gave chase. Given the mazy design of the graveyard, the two (2) groups splintered into clumps of lost individuals attempting to find their way out of the graveyard.
A squad of P.S.G. (Presidential Security Group) was deployed to the scene in order to “permanently pacify” the students.
While all the political silliness was going on, a green hand suddenly broke through a quiet patch of dirt. After dragging himself out of the ground, Tabio dusted himself and whispered softly: “brains”, “hungry”, “brains”.
Objective: Either the P.S.G. is wiped out or Tabio gets killed.
Army Size: To play the scenario, Player One has to prepare Three Hundred (300) points worth of zombie figures inclusive of Tabio. Player Two represents the P.S.G. The P.S.G. is made up field agents, corp. response, and corp. commander, and Major Harper figures with an aggregate total of Three Hundred (300) points. Player Two cannot use any other figures except for those listed above.
Preparation:
- Starter Kit’s Graveyard Map
- Four (4) Cop or Sheriff Victim Tokens
- Four (4) Girlfriend or Prom Queen Victim Tokens
- Two (2) Nerd Victim Tokens
- Two (2) Jock Victim Tokens
Special Scenario Rules:
Player One:
Player One is Tabio the Zombie. For purposes of the scenario, Tabio must be a Zombie Lawyer of whatever rank. Tabio is given the following powers:
- (1) Brainy Zombie: When this monster is the target of an attack, the controlling player must roll a d6. On a result of 4-6, this monster as a free action may move up to the limit of its movement speed before an attack roll can be made. If this monster is in base contact with an opposing figure - the controlling player must first pass a breakaway test in order to move. Movement as a result of the Brainy Zombie power does not result in an action token.
- (2) Zombie Master: When this monster slays a victim, replace the victim token with a zombie monster of the appropriate gender. If the slain victim is a cop or sheriff, replace the victim token with a zombie cop monster.
- (3) Zombie Call: This monster’s controller have the option of choosing and moving two (2) victims during the suspense phase, instead of the usual one (1) victim.
- (4) Zombie Recruitment: When this monster slays an opposing figure replace the opposing figure with a zombie trooper.
As long as Tabio is the only monster in play for Player One, any movement order given to Tabio will not result in an action token. All created zombies are automatically under the control of Player One and may immediately be given an order upon creation.
Player Two:
For purposes of this scenario, only cop or sheriff victims may be rescued, the other victims must be slain. All other standard Horrorclix rules are in effect for Player Two.
Victory / Ending Conditions:
The scenario ends when either Tabio is slain, the P.S.G. is wiped out or the time limit has been reached.
Player One wins when the P.S.G. is wiped out.
Player Two is automatically declared the winner when Tabio is slain.
In case the time limit is reached, each player totals the number of victims they killed/rescued. Each victim is worth Fifteen (15) points. The players then add up the point value of the opposing figures they killed. The player with the highest point total wins the scenario.
Optional Rules:
According to some of my friends, increasing the time limit to sixty (60) minutes can sometimes make the gameplay flow smoother. The extra fifteen (15) minutes gives the players more time to plan their moves. Another friend suggested an option would be to add the following power to Tabio - Zombie Brain Feast: Turn this monster’s combat dial to the green starting line when it slays a NERD victim token.
