AVP: SOLITAIRE Once every 100 years, the galactic hunters known only as the Predators descend on Earth for a ritual hunt. This ceremony is for the purpose of proving a young Predator's skills as a hunter, and it pits them against the ultimate prey: the vicious Aliens. In this Horrorclix Solitaire system you control both your team of Predators and the opposing enemy Aliens. As with any solitaire game, it is important that you not cheat! For this version of Horroclix: Solitaire you will need the following: * Any Horrorclix AVP Map The Monster Deck For AVP: Solitaire you will need to construct a Monster Deck. In order to do so, take the monster cards for the 8 available Aliens figures, excluding the Queen. For this game, if a Rookie or Experienced Alien is killed, its Monster card may be re-shuffled back into the Monster Deck. SET-UP * Construct a Predator force of no more than 300 points. GAMEPLAY In AVP: Solitaire, all Aliens are considered Blooded at all times. Predators are considered Blooded after slaying a victim and/or after killing an opposing monster. Keep track of this for the purposes of any power based on cumulative slaying and rescuing. During your Suspense Phase, choose and flip one token. If that token is a Victim, move it as normal. If it is a Minion, replace it with the top card of the Monster Deck. If at any time your run out of Monsters in the Monster Deck, place an Alien Drone Minion instead. If you do not have any Alien Drones available, no monster is placed. You receive three actions per turn. Aliens do not cause face-down tokens to flip, but they are flipped per standard adjacency rules for Predators. If flipped, and the token is a Minion, replace it as above and your movement ends. The opposing monster automatically attacks your monster. Slaying and Rescuing occurs as normal. When you have taken your three actions, it is the Aliens' turn. Roll one d6. This is the number of actions the Aliens get. During the Aliens' Suspense phase, if an Alien Egg is adjacent to a Predator or is within range of a Predator, it will use its Facehugger power on it. For this game, consider the Facehugger power to have both the Cleaver and Gun symbols. Only one egg will attack each round, and if there are multiples that qualify for this attack, the Predator with the lowest Defense will be the target. No Victims move during the Aliens' Suspense phase. Aliens will always use their powers to their best advantage. They will remain on Side One of their cards as long as they are not adjacent to a Predator. They will flip to Side Two at the start of any turn in which they are adjacent to a Predator. If an Alien has a ranged combat special ability, it will use it if possible. Aliens will act in the following order of priority:
When an Alien attempts to slay a Victim, play the top card out of your Crypt and follow its directions. If a Victim is successfully slain by an Alien without Spree, replace it with an Alien Drone Minion token if one is available. Apply Hourglass damage as normal at the end of the Aliens' turn. SPECIAL RULES At any time during your turn you may remove one Victim which was slain or rescued by you from the game and heal each of your monsters of one click of damage. The monster who removed said Victim is no longer considered Blooded [unless it has also killed an enemy monster]. THE GLORY OF THE HUNT THE QUEEN AVP: Solitaire may be played as a campaign across multiple maps. * Begin on the Whaling Station map. Play as above with the following exceptions: Do not place any Alien eggs, and place 6 victims instead of 4. Adjust Minions appropriately.
